Ahh, we can’t even believe this amazing time has come and gone! We spent 8 days in Iceland last month, adventuring around our favorite country with great friends before coming together for our Come Alive Workshop alongside With Love & Embers! We rented an amazing lodge and all 23 of us stayed together for several days shooting inspiring couples, learning from one another, and sharing about marketing, branding, finding your own artistic voice, chasing your passions wholeheartedly, crafting a life you love, booking your dream clients, and staying true to who you are as an artist. It was an honor to have our talented team from Oleander Florals + Design, Sandpiper & Co. and Occasions By Diana (hair + makeup) bring our shoots to life each day. There will be so much beauty coming from each of the shoots as well as another post sharing just Iceland photos from adventuring around the country in the days before the workshop, but for now we wanted to share a little peek into what the workshop days looked like! The drive around Iceland was pretty epic….Our lodge was amazing! 12 bedrooms with their own private bathrooms, and we filled every room! 22 of us gathered together in this beautiful setting outside of Reykjavik, near Thingvellir…This was the view from our back porch, and the interior, below! This is the amazing team that made it happen! Ryan + Jill from With Love & Embers, who we taught alongside, Tim & I, Dave & Cynthia from Oleander Florals, who styled our shoots, and our friends Julie & Shane (Sandpiper & Co. and our wonderful cook, respectively!)We put together custom bags with a beautiful watercolor print of Reykjavik (painted by Julie!), coupons for our favorite companies, notebooks, pens, new lens cleaning cloths and Icelandic water.Jill & Ryan started out the first afternoon with an amazing session….And then we all got to shoot a beautiful stylized elopement session with our rad couple, David + Jaimee! After the shoot, our amazing chef Shane cooked dinner for our Welcome Dinner! Wine, lemon chicken, fresh roasted potatoes and carrots and crusty fresh bread were welcome after shooting out in the cold!
After a late night of hangouts, we started off Day Two with yummy breakfast and Tim & I’s main session in the morning, followed by an incredible second shoot down the road at a local waterfall! (Thanks to With Love & Embers for these photos below!)The group on the last morning, minus three! Make sure and check out the highlight video, which is SO fun! Tim put this together, which is why he isn’t in any of the shots! 🙂 This workshop was SUCH a blast, we genuinely loved our group and we cannot wait to see where everyone goes from here in their businesses, photography, adventure and lives!!! Keep an eye out for a new international workshop date soon! 🙂
