Washington, D.C. in April is pretty much the best time to visit! The cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere and the spring weather is just perfect! For Shannon + Michael’s engagement session, we wanted a little bit of a different look than the Tidal Basin (and the crowds! Haha!), so Shannon suggested the incredible little neighborhood of Kenwood Village, aka the most beautiful neighborhood of all time! We seriously felt like we had all stepped into Pleasantville with all the big Father of the Bride-esque homes, friendly neighbors handing out lemonade, cute dogs walking around, and the glorious cherry trees blooming in arches over every single street! Shannon and Michael are just the absolute BEST and we loooooved getting to spend time with them in their home with their little cat and walking around together shooting in the beautiful golden hour. We love when we meet couples for the first time and feel like we’ve been friends for years! Tim and I are so excited to photograph their wedding this July – it’s going to be amazing!
