Carrie + James’ wedding at Oheka Castle will go down in our memories as the COLDEST wedding we have ever photographed!! The actual temperature the morning of their wedding was a cool zero degrees F, with a fresh two feet of snow that had accumulated a few days before in Huntington, NY! These two and their friends were such champs about the weather even though they were freezing, they braved the temps for a few moments of outdoor photos around the beautiful grounds at Oheka Castle! What an absolutely stunning day their wedding was! With tea ceremonies in the morning and a traditional ceremony after sunset, they were kept busy with showers of love and gifts from their amazing family and friends! My favorite part was seeing Carrie + James totally let loose at their reception and dance their faces off together – they truly had so much FUN together at their wedding and we know they were living in the moment!! And can we talk for a minute about that incredible floral staircase? Thanks to the team at Karyn Michael Events, Pedestals Floral + Design and Willow Tree Films, there was a great team in place for the many parts to their wedding weekend! Oheka Castle is such a gem of an estate, reminiscent of a Gatsby mansion with the most elegant European architecture + gardens! It was so unique to see Oheka covered in this much snow – it made for such a beautiful, unique day and we’re so thankful we had the chance to document this beautiful couple’s wedding day!
