This year, we decided to offer a summer workshop as well as our yearly spring workshop when the first one of 2015 sold out so quickly! It was a little more to take on than usual with us being right in the swing of wedding season, but I am SO thankful that we decided to go for it! We had an incredible group of photographers from PA, Jersey, Virginia, New York and Texas join us for an all day workshop full of teaching, sharing what we’ve learned about the industry, delicious BBQ food, and of course an Oleander Florals + Events + Sandpiper & Co. styled shoot with our amazing past Lauren Fair Photography couple Andrea + Jeremiah modeling! The emails, kind words and encouragement that we actually received back from these wonderful photographers afterwards was so life-giving and it made us crazy thankful for this industry all over again. This whole day had so many God moment written all over it – one of the biggest ones being the weather! The forecast said 100% rain ALL.DAY. As in, not a single break in the rain. It was pouring in the morning, but miraculously cleared up and the sun came out hot and bright by lunchtime, and stayed that way into a dusky golden hour!
