Tim and I planned a European roadtrip super last minute over my birthday week in late October, and it was our most favorite trip yet! We found amazing flight deals to Venice and decided to start our trip there, as I had always wanted to see this beautiful city. We landed super jet lagged into the Venice airport early in the morning, hopped on a cigarette boat and soon arrived in magical Venice. We kept looking at each other in disbelief, saying “this cannot be real! We’re in a movie set, right?!” I still can’t believe a place this photogenic and beautiful really exists in the world! Though it rained both days we were there, it was kind of nice because the streets felt so empty compared to what I’m sure Venice is like during nice weather / peak summer dates! The food, coffee, wine and people were all incredible. Tim and I also got a photo session done of US while we were there with a lovely French photographer, Marion H Photography, because what better way to celebrate upcoming 5 years of marriage? Can’t wait to share those photos, also 🙂 From Venice, we left and headed up through the Dolomites into the Alps and Austria, which will be in the next post! Enjoy these photos from a rainy weekend in Venice in October <3
We stayed at the Hotel San Moise, which has the prettiest courtyard (and TINIEST Italian rooms) ever, haha.
This was my favorite restaurant we ate at! Couldn’t recommend it more.We got up before the sun for our photo shoot + warmed up with some coffee from the beautiful (and SO overpriced) Cafe Florian! So yeah, Venice floods – a LOT! We had to wade through some deep water to get back to our hotel on the second day! And a few sneak peeks of our shoot with Marion H Photography! This was such a surreal experience, being up at dawn in Venice with no one else around! Hope you enjoyed these photos, and can’t wait to share photos from Austria, the next leg on our stop, soon!
