Back in February, Tim and I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful wedding in St. Lucia! Since it was the dead of winter back home, we extended our stay another two days in order to see a little more this beautiful island, and we truly loved it! St. Lucia isn’t like most other Caribbean islands – it has such a huge variety of landscapes! From pristine beaches to rainforest and huge towering mountains, it was such an adventurous but also relaxing island to explore! Also ,the island is quite literally covered in flowers, making the air smell so sweet! Ahh, it was amazing! We stayed at the Sandals resort with the wedding party over the wedding weekend, and then drove down to the Pitons where we stayed at a b&b (La Haut Plantation) that was not quite on par with the luxury of a Sandals, haha! The main reason we stayed there was actually the views – it was the only budget option with this killer view of the Pitons!!!! So we could forgive the super creepy bathroom with its flickering light and noisy neighbors on the other side of our room wall! And let’s be honest, we were there for the sunshine, exploration and relaxation, anyway! Here’s a few of our favorite snaps – mostly iphone – from our couple days on the island! We went to Ladera resort for dinner the first night we stayed down by Soufries, it was such a gorgeous + rustic eco-friendly resort with killer sunset views!
The next morning we hiked a trail with awesome views of the Pitons.A little iPhone panorama to show both peaks! We spent the rest of the day hanging out at Sugar Beach resort – their lunch spot on the beach had the best wood fired pizza and you could also rent snorkel gear! (we forgot cash so we couldn’t, sadly!). Later that evening, the owners of the B&B we stayed at hosted a little cocktail party for all the guests staying there down at the “Owner’s House” – check out their amazing pool and view!! It was so fun meeting other guests from all over the world, from France and Australia to London and Scotland!
